What Are Common Anxiety Attack Symptoms?

First, before I lay out regular panic attack symptoms, I’d like to take a minute to explain that a “symptom” is anything that doctors employ to identify individual conditions and diseases.  Almost all stress and anxiety disorders are not medical diseases.  They’re behavioral issues.  Which is to say that there’s most likely nothing physically wrong with you that’s producing anxiety attacks, but instead you end up with having panic attacks because you are reacting to restless thoughts and “what if” thoughts.

If you feel stress and anxiety when there may be nothing to rationally be frightenedof, you happen to be having an inappropriate amount of anxiety.  This is probably a result of stressing about issues which are out of your influence, or a non-stop sequence of “what if” questions that only worry you and raise your stress and anxiety more.

Seeing that every man and woman is different, each person will see unique panic attack symptoms.  We each react to stress- and fear-inducing circumstances differently, but listed here are some general ones that people often notice.

  • Racing heart or fast heartbeat
  • Excessive sweat or perspiration
  • Bodily shaking or shuddering
  • Feeling as if you’re about to choke
  • Feeling short of air
  • Upper body pains (frequently making many to believe they are going into cardiac arrest)
  • Nausea or a sinking sensation inside your stomach
  • Confusion or faintness
  • Light-headed sensations
  • Derealization (feeling as if you are in a dream or as though everything is a fantasy)
  • Depersonalization (away from one’s body or that you don’t exist)
  • Fears that you might go mad
  • A numb sense in your face, arms, or toes (called “tetany,” which can be the result of strenuous breathing)
  • Chilly or burning flashes
  • Skin tone looking pale or the loss of color
  • Blushing
  • Sudden urges to use the bathroom
  • Disturbing or terrifying thought processes
  • Muscle cramping in your shoulders or neck

Additionally, after a panic and anxiety attack, a lot of people will exhibit a fear of experiencing a second panic attack.  This regularly leads to them steering clear of certain conditions or places they began to associate with their original panic and anxiety attack.  This “low-volume” of continuous stress and anxiety that follows a anxiety attack is known as generalized anxiety disorder (GAD).

It’s also significant for you to realize that, however frightening your panic or anxiety attack symptoms could be (and they are usually pretty frightening sometimes), you are not in any real danger.  Nobody has at any time died from a panic attack.  So take comfort with the thought that what you’re suffering from will pass and that it doesnt leave you with any damage to your body or mind.

Again, these are merely a number of the typical panic attack symptoms you may encounter.  You may feel all of these, or just 1 or 2.  When you experience many symptoms, it does not automatically signify your condition is worse than if you have just experienced a handful of them.  And this is in no way an exhaustive list.  It’s possible to be afflicted by a panic attack and not experience any of the above symptoms at all.
