How can I overcome my phobia of eyes?
Hello and basically I have a phobia of bad eyes and the fight to watch and know things about them. I really can not stand the thought of them very badly and I often panic attacks usually last about 10 minutes. Anyway, I was deciding on the A-Levels I want to do and I am really eager to do biology but I discovered that One of the things we have to do is eyes. I do not want my phobia help make biology, but I really do not want to have a panic attack or anything when I go to college so I think the best thing to do is to try and overcome my fear:) thing is that I'm not sure what is the best way. I have a book called The Anxiety and Phobia Workbook "I have read and followed the advice, but it did not seem to have helped. What are my other options? Sorry if I wrote a lot and thank you:)
I am also a level biology this year, and yes it involves the eyes .. and disecting .. BUT .. before you run screaming for the hills .. I think confronting your fears and learn at their topic will help you. Clearly, dissection can be a bit too .. you should not be part of this .. but browse and read about them before you exposed to the "eye" thing in the lesson. Relax when you are looking for information .. how they work really amazing .. its amazing! Try to have an opinion about where your phobias come and try to answer these questions .. by confronting your fears you'll realize that there is nothing to worry about. Good luck! x
