Anxiety Disorders – The Ups and Downs
Anxiety disorders can completely change and upheaval in the life of the victim and that of his family. These disorders are based on anxiety, fears and phobias.
A precise definition of anxiety is just not worry it illogical or irrational, it is not based on facts. It is obvious that a person suffering from an anxiety disorder can not cope well with daily annoyances and frustrations.
Anxiety disorders are the most common of all mental health disorders. It is estimated that about 30 percent of the U.S. population may be affected by anxiety disorders.
Anxiety disorders can be chronic and debilitating. The disorder may begin at an early age or it can be triggered at any time in life.
The patient may feel anxious most of the time. This usually results in feelings of exhaustion and fatigue. It tends to worsen during periods of high stress.
symptoms of anxiety attacks are usually accompanied by strange or depressing thought and feelings of hopelessness. Anxiety occur without warning and the victim may experience one or more symptoms, such as hypertension, palpitations, sweating, headache, and many others.
During an anxiety attack the patient feels overwhelming fear. But fear is not reality in office. However, the body reacts as if the fear is real. There is a statement adrenaline, and if there is a real threat of the body uses adrenaline effectively Fight or Flight. As this is not a real threat body and experience to maintain a high level of symptoms that degenerates then an anxiety attack.
Credibility is given for symptoms of acute anxiety that perpetuates more fear and increased symptoms. The cycle of anxiety is created.
The cycle is often repeated throughout the patient's life. Many victims limit their activities and social outings as anxiety attacks. If the patient finds a particular situation that seems to cause the attacks, it is likely he / she avoid these areas if possible.
Depending on the severity the disease for many patients slowly and eventually restrict activities outside the house to a minimum. Because most patients feel home as a safe area, it is the location of its choice.
Overtime, with an activity less and less social and Company others the patient is likely to develop depression. Unfortunately many people with anxiety disorders, even if it is associated with depression, not seek treatment.
