Paranormal generalizes
GOES PARANORMAL MAIN:
The BBC, NPR, The New York Times and other reputable media now cover topics that only a few years ago, were considered off-limits in polite society. Now we can talk about aliens, spiritual beings, God and angels, and not feel weird. What happened? This article discusses the fact of the paranormal becomes normal and some of the reasons for this relatively new phenomenon.
Did you know that over eighty percent of Americans have long believed in the paranormal? Perhaps each of us waiting on the other person to advance. Eight out of ten of us believe that the alien has visited earth some 2,000 years ago, coupled to one of our women and had a son. In 2007, the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life revealed that 78.4% of us are Christian, 4.7% believe in other religions know, and only 16.1% of us would be considered non-religious. Gallup 2006 revealed that 45% of us believe that God created us just the way we, just like the Book of Genesis says that he done, and we have never been monkeys. Most of religion is based on the belief in something for which there is no evidence. But Religion has always been a special case of the paranormal. Humans have always believed that they were not their ultimate bosses. Even the trees, snakes, fire, sun, and the rivers were too ultimate bosses in certain societies. Strangers in our midst or aliens or ET could be classified as one of the first cases of the paranormal who has been widely accepted.
An important factor in the increasing acceptance paranormal in the civilized discourse was the film industry. AND, released in 1982, may have been one of the most influential of such film. Who can forget the lovable AND try to call home! Besides films, the year 1984 may be considered the date on which the subject of the paranormal began his ascent from obscurity. This year, a private, nonprofit organization known as the Institute SETI has been created in the United States. Means SETI Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence. SETI mission is "to explore, understand and explain the origin, nature and prevalence of life in the universe. "One of the techniques of SETI, according to its literature, is to use radio telescopes to listen for narrow band radio signals from space. These signals are not known in nature, in order to detection would provide evidence of extraterrestrial technology. "In July 1991 the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina, some organizations very highly placed and individuals put their names to a "Declaration of principles concerning activities following the detection of Extraterrestrial Intelligence. This August body transformed SETI work in a truly global company. SETI Sponsors included the International Institute for Space Law, the International Union telecommunications, the International Academy of Astronautics, Center NASA Ames Research, Alfred P. Sloan Foundation and the U.S. Department of Energy.
In fact your taxes and mine paid for a journey of discovery, a bit like Queen Isabella paid for the expedition of Christopher Columbus found a way to land the Spice. We paid for Pioneer 10 and 11 that spaceships are, among others, in search of other civilizations space. Our emissaries have passed through our solar system and, probably, the Milky Way and are now well beyond our imagination. Pioneers 10 and 11 are carrying messages Who are we here on earth, to give our brothers and sisters abroad a sense of who we are, what we like, and what we consider important in our collective culture. Although this was most probably not with any malice, our Pioneers are bearer of an idea distortion of who we are. Both male and female characters that have characteristics of white and no illustration of a black person or Asian although both are human rendition of the most common.
As Pioneer 10 continues its search in the outer limits of our galaxy, some scientists believe that we can be looking in the wrong places. In a British documentary on SETI, which was distributed April 26, 2010, the famous astrophysicist Stephen Hawkins, went on to say that "almost certainly intelligent aliens exist" and warn against any attempt to communicate with them. Hawkins has also been quoted in the Wall Street Journal April 17, 2010. A more complete discussion, even aliens has been upheld by NPR program The Point with Tom Ashbrook April 28, 2010. The program was titled "SETI Hawkins and Alien Contact "featured scientists and luminaries such as Paul Davis, a theoretical physicist, cosmologist and astrobiologist at Arizona State University; Astronomer Jill Tarter and physicist Sean Carroll of Cal Tech. I would not be surprised if this program had one of the highest public on a point in a moment.
A Another stone on the building of the paranormal has been erected by the physicist Ronald Mallett from the University of Connecticut, in 2006, published its pioneering book "Time Traveler." I had the honor of attending a lecture by Dr. Mallett at MIT in 2006 after his book published. Having lost his father when he was only 10 years young Mallett is a pain in his insatiable search for Science in Travel time in the hope of one day be able to travel in time and be with his father again. Dr. Mallett has spent his entire professional life as a physicist, pushing the frontiers of mathematics and physics, and culminating with the discovery of a working theory of time travel. Its incredible work can be found on its website at UConn. Dr Mallett credits his desire to see his father for giving him the motivation that has prevented the street and "Penn State and led to Penn State instead." What his work shows that the paranormal may simply be the object for which science is not yet known.
While scientists like Hawkins thinks that aliens may already be among us, many ordinary people feel that their own dead relatives live in a dimension and spirit are not strangers. A growing number of Americans believe they can communicate with their deceased relatives in the pipeline. Reincarnation and the contact with the dead have recently been given more credibility reports Brian Weiss and John Edward.
Brian L. Weiss graduated magna cum laude from Columbia University and completed a diploma Medicine of Yale University. His interests include the study and treatment of depression and anxiety, sleep disorders, and brain chemistry. He is chairman emeritus of psychiatry at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami. In his book, Many Lives, Many Masters, Weiss details his experience with a woman named Catherine, who was one of his patients. Catherine had come to him for treatment of anxiety, panic attacks and phobia. Under hypnosis, Catherine uncapped the mysteries of birth, the process of death, between the two states, reincarnation, and in the spirit world.
John Edward, author of After Life, Answers the other site, is an internationally renowned psychic whose work is described in his book that was published in 2003 with a preface Larry King's show "Larry King Live." One of the amazing reports of Mr. Edward in his book has to do with the work he has done, Family ties with their relatives who had perished on 9 / 11 when the twin towers fell. Like most of the deaths were so sudden, apparently, many relatives really need to connect with family members to tie loose ends before moving on. Apparently, Mr. Edward has not need special music and dance, or dimly lit room with an overpowering smell of incense that many of us associate with the occult. It seems to be a window up to other dimensions and life beyond the grave.
For those reports that I can add my own experience of visiting and conversing with dead relatives on many occasions where I grew up in rural Zimbabwe and again in recent years, when I visited my brothers and sisters. On one occasion, I wanted to fill some gaps in our genealogy, so what better way to get it from the people who had lived at the time. Whenever the family would sing the songs of the ancestors; monotonous music to appease the spirit enough to open the dimension of the mind. In my family, one of my brothers and sisters has been able to reach this state, and the ancestors would come through and maintain long term conversations. Because of this personal experience, I believe there is a sort of life after death or there are intelligent entities in this or another dimension that are not readily visible or accessible us. But I am not convinced that all visitors mind and have been sent by my brother, my parents were deceased. I always suspected that. Once when I was a teenager, I asked a visiting spirit: "Are you my grandfather's real flesh and blood ———-." Before I could complete my question, I was stopped dead in my tracks by members of the family who had fear on their faces. I was never said, never ask questions like new. It was clear that there was a danger because of the authenticity of the ancestors. I complied, but my curiosity never abated. It was curious to me that we have never had a visitor that we experienced in physical life. There was family are still living years before our era. We could not question them on obscure facts that they would have known if they were, who they claim to be.
I do not believe that the ancestors have been multiple personalities that psychologists and psychiatrists can now explain. In fact, I think they were the forms of intelligent life from another dimension who have been through when my sister was well resolved, but I doubt all have been linked to us or that they had once been biological. I think sometimes we were fooled. I think some of my visitors were impostors mind. On the other hand, Edward seems to have had convincing evidence that the deceased were what they said they were.
I never lost the ability to wonder about what man can do. But I have also been well aware that the real hero is nature itself, including us. Some of our most impressive achievements have been the emulation or increase in nature. From our natural ability to see and hear, we have learned to make movies and share news of distant lands where they occur. We watched man land on the moon and hear them describe what they saw. From birds we have learned to make planes that tear heaven, we travel through the ocean as if we were migratory birds. The functioning of our brain, we have created computers that are significantly expanding our ability to map the genetic code, to fight against disease, and manage our cities, and countries. It may be that our technology Future tapping into our souls and increase our ability to travel through time, to communicate with our dead, and to see God. Equally plausible is that we do can not require the technology at all. Our own brains may already be wired to peer behind the veil of the physical universe we know. What we now call paranormal may one day be the ordinary aspects of nature.

Filmed in gloriously filtered colors that cross Maxfield Parrish with Peter Max, this… |
